Unclutter your Busy

September 25, 2018jeanette
Do you wish you could unclutter your busy and be more productive?

Start today by making small changes and you will see improvements and clarity almost instantly.

As a facilitator, project manager, and self-confessed process improvement nerd, Bernie Winter from Mobi Limited looks for techniques that will help to unclutter her own busy, whilst providing pathways for clients to enable teams to focus, increase engagement, and improve productivity all whilst keeping it simple.

Start using the CPR technique today to see what a difference it can make:

[C]apture – A single catchment

However you do it, capture all your tasks in one place, manual or digital, business or personal, make it accessible and meaningful

Manual or digital, I challenge you for the next month to train yourself to use a single method of capture, instantly this will create space in your mind

[P]rioritise – Assigning priority to each task

Work out from your list which tasks are urgent, must be done. This will ensure your urgent tasks are dealt with first. Use a system of 1,2,3 or A, B, C to define the priority.

[R]eview

Each week review the list and reprioritise based on changes that have occurred, recapture the list and prioritise.

Visual techniques help to free up your mind

Visual boards are a key technique to help free up our minds. They create focus to work on one thing at a time, encouraging streamlined thinking and allowing tasks to be completed more efficiently.

Achieving these small changes will result in getting more done with less stress, less time and more output.

Changing habits takes time, don’t let perfect stop you from being good with a technique, making a small change will create the space and curiosity in your mind to evolve.
